# Hypertherm Powermax 45 THC Question

I’m Planning to get the Hyertherm 45XP with cpc port and the cable for it. It also has the voltage divider with an arc signal of 50:1. Will the THC on the Arcdroid work this equipped with a hand torch? If I understand this right, the voltage from arc length distance is measured in the plasma cutter itself and has nothing to do with the torch type (Hand or Machine). I do know the hand torch will require modification to trigger the arc.

Yup Torch Height Compensation works fine with the Hypertherm Hand torch (that’s what we have in the shop right now)
We should have some updates to the THC algorithm later this month

How can I get the code to unlock the THC ?I’m running an Hypertherm 45xp.
