# Reduce Z-Clear height - Error Z= limit hit

Hi All,

Have been using my arcdroid for a few months now, have moved it to the x2 platform and started having issues with it.

Error Z+ limit hit:

Reduce Z-Clear height

The touch won’t come down and touch the work piece before starting to cut?

Have calibrated multiple times and updated firmware for both the arcdroid and simple trace.

Can you shed any light on what is going on here?

So how much did you raise the base of the Droid from the working surface of your table when you added to X2 base? You should post a pic of your setup. You could try blocking up your work piece to test. Or remount your torch/sled mount to head, to lower it.  
Z homes ok at initial start up?
