# Stuck on startup screen after frozen screen and hard reset

Screen froze in trace mode, setting cuts for gcode file from dxf. Did a hard reset on both the controller and the droid unit. Now stuck on startup screen but has given warning of " No comms for 5 seconds "

Just tried doing both updates and still the opening screen and now a multi colored growing line under the arcdroid logo but not going beyond the startup screen

Sounds like the RJ45 lead might be faulty - have you tried unplugging it or another lead?

Yep, went and got a new cord and did the updates, back to normal operation. Thanks a bunch 🙏
