Calibration Issues

I am at an absolute loss to the point where I’m so close to selling this machine. I’ve owned it for years and it’s been great until recently. I purchased a proper machine torch that is heavier than a handheld obviously but I have it supported well. Was getting great test cuts but could be better so I decided to calibrate (big mistake). Tightened belts at this time as well. While calibration I noticed the torch was very hard to keep on the slide, due to the uneven height the arm was from fully extended to close to the base (1/4”). Looked for somewhere to tighten to get rid of the sag but couldn’t. So I propped the machine back a little bit. Then the arm states flat but messed with the geometry thinking the rails were shorter giving me bad results. I must have tried calibration 20 times and spent days on this. My next step was to purchase a tool balancer to mount above on a 5’ track that runs on the same axis. Don’t feel as though the money and time I’ve put into this should be so difficult to cut a 3” square or have the x2 line up when making a sign. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated @Andrew thanks for reading

When I recalibrate with the machine torch, I take the torch apart and just mount the tip which is where my torch is mounted regularly

@dencope Are you trying to calibrate with your X2 Connected? this will alwasy result in a bad calibration. You must disconnect it to calibrate properly
