Im guessing most of my issues a related to having a very cheap Chinese plasma cutter, im still looking into what actual plasma cutter i want to go for. Can anyone take a look and the cut quality and give me some direction. The material is 2mm and im running 30A at 50PSI with a 0.8mm tip. Ive carried out auto levelling but getting mixed quality in cuts.
Ground to the metal not the table
Assuming your cutting steel and not stainless…
2mm would be better at 45 amps and at those amps,
1.5 mm cutting distance
Pierce height 1.8mm
.1 sec pierce delay
6500mm/min cut speed
Verify your Z heights! Measure what you really get versus what you program. You may need to comp the programed height to get the real number you want.
I think you may want more air too but that is whatever your particular plasma cutter needs to be happy. I’d think 75-80 psi would be better. It’s one of those things where it is best to make a series of test cuts, like 2" straight lines, and the only thing you change is air pressure. You’ll see the effect it has.
If 30A is your max,
Change pierce delay to .3sec
Try around 3500mm/min feed
That’s not me you emailed the wrong person sorry

@Jdd I can’t even interpret that…
