New controller

Has anyone designed a holder for the new controller yet. I know it has the standard holes in the back but if you want to take it off to use as stand alone it’s going to be a pain in the arse to keep undoing it. If no one has I will design one when it arrives.

Im planning to 3d print a holder for the plus controller.

Got shipping confirmation today.

So hopefully i can design and print a holder next week.

Depending if it get stuck in customs

When did you order? Curious how long they took, as my “first week of may” ship date has come and gone

April 14. 2026 was my order date.

Got mail with shipping info earlyer today.

Delivery estimated 20-21 May.

But if it get stuck i customs it will be some time next week hopefully.

I ordered mine on March 27th. It shipped out of China on May 13th and sent to an address in Utah instead of Minnesota. UPS indicates there is an address error and the package is being held at its current location. Shipper is the one that needs to correct this, but tomorrow is day 3 and we will see how long it goes on. I was bitter about the shipment date changing from 1st week of May to second week in June without any insight whatsoever from Arcdroid. I wanted to cancel and just wait until all the bugs were worked out, but someone from their Texas branch called on the 12th of this month to confirm my shipping address and here we sit! I wish I could have just canceled and saved the headache for later!!

What’s your rush?

I don’t have a 3d printer, I plan on cutting one with the Arcdroid like I did for the current controller.

Ordered mine 3rd of may. Shipping date was late may but now says mid June. I have no problem with that.

First testprint of the Plus screen holder.

About 12 houers for bottom part and 7 houers for the lid.

3d printig is a slow process :see_no_evil_monkey:

My monitor arm has a quick disconnect and the proper screw pattern. Bought it on Amazon, it slios out in trn seconds

Hi guys, i ordered a new controller plus and waiting for it to arrive. My plan is to use the controller plus as stationary to the table and use the original controller when I’m on site, my question is do i have calibrate every time i switch the controller? Thanks in advance.

No, you do not need to re-calibrate when swapping between controllers.

Nice sollution :+1:

But it won’t protect it from dust and dirt.

My old controller got scratched screen very fast when i forgot to wipe it clean before use.

Fine grinding dust was like sandpaper under my finger :see_no_evil_monkey: zoom in out area especially.

First print finished.

Fits really nice in the holder.

100x100 holes for mounting.

Did some changes to the print settings to make it smother, but it wasn’t any good for the surface finish.

That cover would annoy me. I don’t have a 3d printer so a cut and folded steel one like my current one will be my choice. I only attach mine when in use, it’s in a draw the rest of the time so no problem with grinding dust.

I simply swing it up and out if harms way. I cover it and everything else in my shop when not in use. I can pop the controller off and take it into the house in ten seconds. Work out the piece I need to make in the garage or barn controller in hand and return and set it back up in ten seconds. I even have a portable usb/ dewalt twenty volt invertor set up to go into the field. I keep them together in a pelican box along with a tape measure, protractor and a thickness gauge.

Thanks for the response i really appreciate it

I like it! That’s the new controller, right? Would interested in having you print me one if that’s something you’d consider.
