THC Torch height control

Do not connect to AD before checking voltage while making a cut.
You can check with a digital multimeter. If it’s below recommended, then it should be ok.
Make sure to check polarity before connecting to AD.

Happy cutting

So if i am understanding correctly 50:1 would maintain the voltage under 5 volts and 20:1 would be over 5 volts?

So basically i throw the dip switch 4 to see if the 65 mimics Hypertherm and monitor voltage before i connect to AD and if it goes over i connect the voltage divider that i purchased from AMP mechanic.

I’m not sure that the Titanium 65 can be adjusted but let us know what you find. Yes, 20:1 would be around 5V output. 50:1 will be around 2V.

If all you have is 20:1 and you don’t want to run wires from your output lugs for true raw voltage, adjust the divider you bought to around 5K using your multimeter then do a test fire and measure the output voltage. You can fine tune from there. Aim for around 2V.

I have the non adjustable version so if the dip switch doesn’t output 2v i’ll disconnect and install yours.

Thanks for the input

I’m going to show my ignorance here but here goes.

to test raw voltage what reading should i expect and would it be AC or DC?
Same question for the output of the voltage divider, should it be AC or DC?

thanks,

Mark

I just ran a long cut with Dip switch 4 up on the titanium 65 and it never went over 3 VDC, the average seems to be around 2.5 vdc.

it was hitting 3 VDC when i neglected to connect the ground very well, once i did that It was mid 2’s

I’ve been told that the voltage divider on the Titanium 65 is flaky so i’m going to install the divider from Amp mechanic
