Arc droid Cutting holes

Been working out the kinks ans slowly but sure have been making quality parts, but one thing i cant figure out is circles. All of my other cuts come out just as they should, but circles never seem to be right and they are always different.

I have run into the same issue, especially with 3/8 or bigger material. Either my holes were not circular and/or my cut would not be straight and would be angled inward. I’m a bit new to plasma cutting and the Arcdroid so there may be better solutions out there but I have been experimenting with different power settings on my plasma machine. It’s a 105 amp Hypertherm machine and the recommended cut speed settings seemed really fast. I bumped my amps down to 65 so the cut speed was slower. I’ve been getting better results and I think it’s because the Arcdroid doesn’t have to move as fast in a circle. I think the centripetal force was throwing off the cut.

I also reduce the recommended Hyperthem settings as I have read they tend to be set to high. Hope this helps. Looking forward to hearing what others have to say and any updated results you may have. - Craig

plasma doesn’t cut holes on thick material very well. try cutting your holes at 70% of regular cut speed. you will get some dross but a better hole. New consumables also help.
