Calibration issues please help

Maybe some description of what you’re doing may help? Have you never had a successful calibration? Posting your pics in the proper orientation would be a bonus!

Bob,

Thanks for the reply,

The answer is no, I had calibration issues since the beginning, Arcdroind is about week old,

Another issue the CNC plasma torch does not turn on, Torch terminals on the back of the Arcdroid are normally open until the command is given to close to active the torch, that’s not working

Thanks

Ok. I can’t remember exactly how, (Search the forum) and clear the previous calibration before a new attempt. I prefer to work on a flat bench or square of ply. Clamp or screw the Droid down. Clamp or screw the calibration triangle. It sometimes helps to use a one inch spaceoff from the Droid base. With the stylus mounted come down on the sled with pretty good pressure, not so far that the cable goes slack. Be slow and deliberate with your motions. Having good pressure keeps things on the sled. Follow the prompts.

As far as the torch turning on. It may not if you haven’t an accepted calibration…. Check to make sure the screen icon for the torch on/off toggles back and forth and is on with no bar. This doesn’t start the torch, it allows it to run during the program

Ok, I must watched every video and read every forum,

Tried every attempt to calibrate, no matter what I try it keeps giving me errors.

As per the torch not turning on,

There’s a problem with the Arcdroid relay, it’s not closing to activate the torch,

No matter what I tried including forcing it on thought Gcode, toggling the icon on/off on the display.

ok,

Lotus 6300CNC is the plasma that I am using .

I am able to turn the torch by shorting out the wires connected to plasma cutter,

So you reset to default settings before a calibration? Follow every step to the end of the process? Could be you have a bad relay for the torch. Could open up the cover and follow the wires from the terminal strip backside and check the plug to the pcb.

Could try just system reset to defaults and no calibration. Try a Simple Trace hole and see if the torch fires. Just to see if there is a torch use inhibit because of an incomplete successful calibration

Contact Andrew. He is of great help.

Bob,

Thank you for your help.

All connections are secure in the back inside,

Found a washer just laying on the bottom on the Arcdroid, no idea.

I reached out to Andrew earlier this week wanting on a response.
