I have a plus controller and it won’t boot up when connected to the arcdroid, it starts fine when just connected with a USB C power supply. With the eithernet cable cable connected the only thing that happens is the arcdroid logo screen comes on and then a blue banner that says 5 second no coms then it just stays on the logo screen. The design screen never opened. I did install the power pcb but it doesn’t make any difference.
Sounds like you need to upgrade the coms chip set.
Same age as mine and I had the same problem. Will need a new motherboard to communicate with the plus. The original control gets an upgraded board too if you want to be able to still use it.
