Dry run mode not working correctly

Hi. I have an Arcdroid that I use intermittently. I verified today that it’s updated to the latest firmware and Simple Trace versions. The SD Card has a firmware dated December 2024 with a .CUR at the end. However, when I load a file to cut from Sheetcam using the Arcdroid post processor, the Arcdroid still fires the torch even when the lightning bolt is disabled. I know there was a firmware issue back in 2023 for this which was fixed quickly, but my machine is on the latest and it’s still having the issue. Anyone have any ideas? I did email Arcdroid support, but figured I’d post here. It caught me off guard yesterday when I had my face down by the material to get a good look to make sure my parts would fit on a pretty used up piece of 1/8” sheet, and the dang torch fired. I know this used to work, but it’s not now. As a final test, I drew a simple rectangle in Simple Trace, and ran it in dry run mode as well. It still fired the torch with the lightning bolt disabled. Thanks for any help or ideas.

Update. I reset all settings on the Arcdroid and it still fires the torch in dry run mode.

Other than the software glitch that we had a while back, there was no mechanism that would allow it to do this occasionally or accidentally…

Are you sure you are on the most updated firmware? Go to settings, tap the arcdroid logo five times and then choose version info.

Post us a snap of what you see I’ll and I’ll have a better idea what might be going on

Your support confirmed I’m on the latest version. I sent videos of the unit doing this with a Fluke 289 connected in continuity mode where it triggers the torch regardless of the dry run setting. My plasma is completely disconnected.

Hmmm that is really funky.
There should be no way to fire the torch if the disable is switched.

Give me a call next time you are close to the machine 705-828-0470 and we’ll walk through a couple tests to see if we can figure whats what
