As the title says. The feed rate that is set in Sheetcam isn’t being used by the Arcdroid.
I need to dig into the gcode to be sure that the PP (gotten directly from the Arcdroid site) is indeed inserting the feed rate, but all indications is that if there is a feed rate command, it’s being ignored by Arcdroid.
I found this out when I cut something that should have been set 80ipm via Sheetcam, but the Arcdroid was still using the previous values at 5ipm.
Any thoughts? Tia!
OK, I did some research. Yes, Sheetcam and the PP are doing their jobs and feed rates are in the gcode. What I think i found is that the Arcdroid needs to have its feed rate set at least the same or higher than what the gcode calls for. Otherwise, the feed is choked down by the lower Arcdroid rate. The Arcdroid rate acts as a max speed.
Can anyone confirm this?
I use sheetcam and have not had that problem that I know of yet. As far as I know, the arcdroid will display the feed rate at the bottom of the screen when the drawing is loaded from the tool used in sheetcam. I will try to take a closer look the next time I play around with it. The only things I can suggest is make sure the feed rate is in the appropriate field in the tool, units are set the same between sheetcam and the arcdroid and checking the feed rate when the part is loaded.
