Glitch to origin, tracing unusable

I’ve had my AD for almost a year now, but due to life I’ve only recently finished the water table and started cutting serious-like. I noticed from the get-go that the green virtual torch location would flicker to “origin zero” along one axis for a split second then back to actual position. Along the X axis about 3x more often than Y, but still randomized. This occurs with the arm in any location, to wherever the origin is placed. In any machine state - only the AD powered on idling or otherwise. Happens in 2 totally different garages (both verified good outlet grounds, and no external electrical noise). It’s never affected a running cut that I can tell, but I just now found tracing is impossible as it will draw a spike to origin and back, sometimes only a few seconds between jumps - other times a minute (but usually in the middle of a million sample points, of course). This renders the machine 70% unusable for me - tracing was to be our primary input. I’ve gone under the petticoats and checked connections and wiring, ruled out any physical inputs (literally watched screen from 20ft away at 2AM), etc. Same across all firmwares I’ve tried too. Seems like software as it follows the origin regardless of location. Please, PLEASE - if anyone knows what else to check… I’ve not much hair left to pull out.
