I just wanted to know if anyone has thought of a roughter attachment?
@TrickyDigit I get asked that one a lot
However it is not really designed for contact tools. The added weight and vibration on the end of the arm would cause cut quality to suffer badly. Add that to the fact that the Z is floating and would most likely just jump out of the material and I suspect a Router attachment would not give results you’d like.

So probably along the same lines, what about a laser cutter? I see a lot of kits where you can buy the lazer and driver for it. Seems like the head would be similar weight and no real need to do anything but adjust the Z axis as needed.
