Issue cutting holes

I tried searching for the answer and could not find any answers.

I am trying to cut a .625" hole is 3/16 plate. I have adjusted the size of the hole up to .66" in simple trace and still cant get the correct size hole. I am using the Razorweld 45, new consumables. Cut rate is 70 inches, amps 45. and the holes that are cut are not perfectly square to the plate( beveled cuts) Any ideas would be helpful

First, have you measured the actual cut Kerf of your plasma torch? Use that real number as your kerf setting. Are you using the proper cut position? Inside, center, outside. You want inside (left) for a hole. As for bevel, you will get some but slowing your feedrate will help, try 50"/min. If the dross isn’t too bad maybe a little slower. If the hole is a little small bump up your kerf setting some. It’s not a drill press…but my Droid does some pretty nice bolt holes.

Reduce kerf setting to increase hole size. The smaller setting puts the torch path closer to the drawn line. A zero kerf setting would put the torch path directly on the line and your hole would consequently be too large.
