Just a share with problem solving, I was cutting out a mild steel profile and the compressor overloaded and tripped the switch. Needlass to say once you have got halway through a cut and you lose power you have to reset the zero and start the cut again.
The plasma doesn’t like cutting fresh air and needs something to cut so I set it to zero, started the cut and I placed a piece of 1mm sheet over the bit that I had already cut and it worked perfectly without stopping.
Also as there were holes already cut too, I used my 6” rule as a stop when the torch went down to stop on surface. As my rule is 0.5mm thick it tricked it into being a new hole and even tideied up the already cut holes.
