Maybe not for everyone, but here is my answer to making the ArcDroid very moveable and portable.
Harbor Freight cart and a grated cutting surface, 1" rock and no water. This thing works great, one NICE thing is the solid drawer for all the accessories and a tray on the bottom for even more.
The cart looks great! What’s the idea behind the rock? never seen that before!
Don’t have to deal with water, sloshing, rust etc. on a table that gets rolled around and perhaps put to the side for a period of time…just less headache.
Do you have any pictures of the back side? I would love to see how you have the arcdroid sitting on there.
Here is the backside…adjustable for the cutting plane and a leg with roller to stabilize. I have added angle to the sides to facilitate clamping etc on larger pieces.
A larger table would be nice, but this is SUPER flexible and easy to move. Most of my cuts are smaller anyway…
Is that a 5th leg holding up your arcdroid if so, I promise you it will get caught up and flip your Droid, take the rod and angel it to weld to the table second your height will limit your z-axis from lowing to gut sheet steel. I’m finishing my 4th table trying to fix all my other screw ups in the past building your own table not out of a box you will learn from your mistakes. My 5th table ill use air over hydraulics.
Thanks for your reply…Ya got me thinking and I am re-working the leg assy. The wheel really works good and will stay but I’m cutting everything off, starting from scratch off and making the support more robust.
This is probably the 4th time I’ve gone back and modified my cart…which is natural…the more one uses something, ya find ways to improve…
