Is there any way to do a “skip cut” function? occasionally, I’ll get a situation where the cut has to be stopped and it’s usually 40 paths into the program. All I want to do is have a “skip” feature to go to the next cut without having to baby sit the entire program.
I haven’t found a way to do it, but it would be a really useful function to have.
No Skip feature in current iteration of ArcDroid.
It will be in the new machine though…coming soon(ish)
Best bet now is to pop into Trace and delete the shapes you don’t want to repeat.
My need for a “skip” is when I’m cutting components with maybe 20 holes or shapes cut out in them. I could be doing 100 or more of the same component. The problem is that, now and then, my plasma cutter (no fault of the Arcdroid) will “miss fire” on a hole or shape, maybe half way through the cut file. The only way (as far know) to get back to the missed hole is to go back to the start of the cut file and run it idly up to just before the missing hole and then enable the cut again. I don’t want to delete anything. This (little) problem becomes worse when using the “load as pattern” function, when I could be cutting 3 or 4 components together, and my plasma cutter “miss fires” half way through the last one (Murphy’s law). It would be great to have the facility be able to start cutting anywhere in a cut file.
do u have a date for the preview or launch of the new droid and are you considering the CN seamless and what it has to offer that might make your product compete with them
Andrew…Would this feature be available as a firmware DL or do you plan on it being on an entirely new machine. We REALLY need a “Pause/Resume” feature or what ever it would be called to stop the cut process, anywhere, and resume without having to start from the beginning.
Yesterday I was…”attempting”…to cut the “Tree of Life” from the SHARE section here. It’s huge, four large files to be cut. Guess what, I get to the last file where it makes the final cut and there was some frigg’n malfunction and BAM! The entire part is pretty much junk. Tried to rework it and finally just threw it away.
We really need this update.

I agree. I’d be willing to pay for it.
Yes, I’d be willing to pay for it too.
