I have calibrated my arc droid and then proceeded to use the trace function to create a bracket straight lines and a couple of radius, after I saved it and then tried to “run” it to see if it traces the same shape as I originally intended and it has added some drastic jogs in the radius’s. What am I missing?? Thanks!!
Kinda hard to tell what you are doing…. I only see one area that looks like it should be a radius. It also appears you are working outside of the general working range of the arm. Re-zero the part to centralize better.
Were you picking points from a paper drawing? Nothing wrong with that. When it comes to tracing a radius I much prefer a rigid pattern for that with a continuous click of the stylus while making the sweep. I often cut a full circle out and then cut the outline leaving the portion of the radius I want.
If picking points on the radius to click on keep the intervals small.
I ran into this once and found out that in the upper left of the screen when you are tracing there are 3 icons i believe and if the center one is on (i think it was the center) it is some kind of snap or something that goes to nearest grid point. Sorry I dont know what it is or does but it does what you are seeing. Took me awhile to figure out what was going on.
Same here be sure that the snap feature is off. As in “snap to grid” great if you need it, but not helpful if you don’t.
