X2 Compatibility with first generation ArcDroid

I was looking at the pictures of the X2 base and saw a wiring connection below the existing screw connections. Will I have to drill a hole in my ArcDroid to connect the X2 wiring?

Maybe you should watch the x2 explainer video. There is no wiring. It is a framework that allows you to move the arcdroid and index it to the frame so that you can cut across a larger than standard drawing box. the functionality for the x2 indexing is how you design your part and options on the screen if I remember correctly.

Actually, there is wiring that goes from the X2 to the Arcdroid. It goes from the encoder on the X2 to the back of the Arcdroid Auxiliary terminals. There is no drilling required to make the connections. It’s how the Arcdroid knows where it is on the X2 frame for both layout and cutting operations.
