Hey guys! We’ve have the Arcdroid for almost a year now finally setup are X2 system . We did all the simple trace & firmware updates , X2 icon is now present . Loaded a DXF file into the extended cut area & set the split line . First side cut beautiful however once we slide the machine over & select the 2nd cut we get a " geometry out of range" message . Also there dosent seem to be any feedback that the machine is being slid back & forth (like in the video) Verified all connections & setup via the Manuel .
The X2 encoder mount looks ok.
I don’t currently have my X2 set up as I just haven’t needed it yet. So I’m not much help on X2 specifics. I don’t remember if the screen arc of the droid base shifts when you move the X2 base. Your screen does show the extended blue box working area. Maybe try shifting the zero point further left so your sign is more centered in the work area.
Did you dry run before doing the cut? Is your file completely within the blue box? Can’t tell in the pic.
Shoot Andrew a message, he’s the man!
Just watched one of Andrews X2 vids.
Maybe you didn’t get the file split right or completed? Your screen shot shows the whole sign. I think when you run a side it should show only part of the sign, hit X2 and the other side of the sign shows up.
Hi together,
I have apretty similar problem with my X2.
The initial setup went pretty smooth. It was just plug and play.
The first two or three cuts in the extended range of the X2 went also well.
After that and without changing anything, the arcdroid did not notice the sliding on the X2 anymore.
I slide the arcdroid but the cut window on the controlling panel doesn’t move.
The problem occured spontaneously and stays and i can’t fix it.
I unplugged and plugged the devices.
I restartet it.
I reset the arcdroid.
I updated both firmware and simple trace.
I recalibrated it.
Nothing helps.
The sensor on the X2 gets the voltage from the Arcdroid aux outputs. So thats also ok.
Is there any way to check whether the signal from the sensor for distance measurement gives the right signal to the arcdroid?
Or is there any other hint for trubleshoting?
Not to hijack your question, but I can’t get the cuts to line up or touch each other.
The misalignment is close to 1/4" and the distance between cut ends is about 3/16".
Like you, I have checked position of encoder on rail, up to date on updates, cleaned rail, calibrated X2 numerous times.
Anybody else have the same issue as me?
I am waiting on a return call from Andrew on straight cut issues.
Hopefully we will get everything sorted out (we always have)
Hey , sorry for the delayed response . Are issue ended up being a faulty rail sensor for the X2 . Arcdroid customer service was great , we ended up texting directly with Ken about the issue . After some troubleshooting they sent us a new sensor . Once connected it was clear that the sensor was the issue . We recalibrated the X2 system & everything worked perfect . Haven’t had any issues with the Cut line lining up at this time .
Hope this helps!
