I have had mine set up that way for months. But make sure you order a 3.5mm head phone splitter , my first one i order one that looked right was 3.5mm but was a mic /head phone splitter and would not work.

The AD uses a TRRS four pin 3.5mm jack. The item you have linked splits those four signals in a way that is not intended. You do not want a splitter that goes from TRRS (tip-ring-ring-sleeve) to TRS or TS. What you want is a Y-adapter that goes from a TRRS plug to two identical TRRS jacks. Then the AD peripherals (stylus, foot controller, calibration puck, etc.) will not distinguish either jack on the adapter from the one on the AD. In fact, your stylus will not work with this type of splitter as the pins required are not available in either connector. I won’t share the actual AD pinout (respect to Andrew), but trust me that the pins you need and the ring/sleeve lengths vary and you could actually short out signals. Power IS present on this 3.5mm jack!

The signal splitting (ground, L audio, R audio, Mic+) typical on these splitters is as follows:

Tip = left audio
Ring 1 = right audio
Ring 2 = ground
Sleeve = Mic +

The split sends T-R1-R2 to the headphone jack and R2-Sleeve to the microphone jack. Not useful for the AD peripherals and could result in damage.

The headphone and microphone symbols on the splitter you linked shows that the original TRRS pinout is NOT available at the jacks. Again, don’t use this type.

Just search for TRRS Y-adapter (some companies will call it a “splitter,” but that’s not correct as no signals are being split out). Whatever you find, you can eliminate the ones that have microphone and headphone symbols on the jacks. Those are, indeed, splitting the source TRRS signals.
