Recently I’ve developed an issue with the z-axis touch off. When the torch moves down towards the material, it makes contact, but the brake cable continues to feed. If I remove the hinge pin on the circular flap, then the z-reading will take, but torch height is all over the place depending where the torch is in the x/y axis. Resulting in poor cut quality and failed arc starts.
That tells me the two limit switches must be working. I haven’t messed around with the settings. So far I’ve restored to default, and ran a calibration. Ensured the table is level, and did an auto level before starting up a new project.
Cable set screws are tight, z axis isn’t binding, and I’ve taken the bottom cover off to inspect and didn’t see anything out of the ordinary.
Curious if others have encountered this problem, or if I’m overlooking something.
Thanks
