After going through all the possible causes with Andrew, he warrantied my 1st Arcdroid but the new one has the same problem. Straight lines come out slightly curved. It has the same problem with the stylus or a sharpie so not torch or material related. Calibration is good, firmware is up-to-date. Im starting to believe these Arcdroids are just not that accurate. The curved line is not drastic but definitly noticable. I zeroed both ends of a straight edge and ran the stylus along and you can see in the middle, the values change on the machine. I went through everything with Andrew on the first machine, however, I tried to contact again about the new machine but never heard back. Has anyone else noticed this? I know there are a couple threads about this issue but nothing seems to have been solved.
I’m getting the same issue’s, just giving the thread a bump to see if anyone is able to help?
Thank you for the thread bump. I knew I couldn’t be the only one with this problem since I’ve had 2 units with the exact same problem. Nobody at Arcdroid is responding to me now either.
Can you send pictures of your machine set up maybe someone may see something?
yeah, here is a picture of my setup, however, the problem exists with the stylus too. It will run the exact same path with just the stylus hooked up so I don’t believe it has anything to do with my setup.
well it does the same thing with just the stylus hooked up. I did have the torch cable supported above the machine at one point with a swivel but I was getting false probes.
Is the piece of material pushed tight against something? small strips like that will expand with heat and move if the push against something and give you a curved cut.
