I understand swapping the stylus and torch for calibration, keeping things clamped down and such. My calibration procedure since 2023 when I bought the Arcdroid hasn’t changed and has been successful. The only thing changed is adding the + controller.
Finally! Making some progress on the calibration issues which now I can get three consecutive “good” results but check out how much offset is needed!
4" away from the base which is pretty excessive but it works. My older controller can be locked in on the base with no issues. Still having issues when pressing the calibration screen or rotate screen. It give me a tone when pressing but the icon glitches for a 1/2 second and doesn’t do anything. Pretty sure it’s a software glitch.
TritonCNC,
If you are into S&M (talking about self torture) there are a couple things you can try to narrow down a possible issue.
Loosen the belts and spin the motors. I have not had mine apart so not sure if the encoders are seperate or not. The idea is to change the areas on the belts, motors and encoders to see it it changes anything. You may be dealing with a bad spot in any one of them where it creates unstable feed back and a failed calibration. And by moving the old “home” position it should act different.
