Just trying to get started, I’m wondering if anyone knows if this plasma would work with the Arc Droid.
Looks like it is a high frequency start (bullet point 9 on the link page) so it’s not recommended with the arc droid…
Is the HF issue just because of the closer proximity of the arcdroid unit to the torch when it starts? I’ve seen some guys that used 3d Printer parts to build a gantry and they usually solve it by moving the control board away or putting it in a sheilded enclosure…
If it was a simple as having the control panel further away the Droid would have come with a 15’ cable…. You also have electronics in the base unit so the torch is within 6”-18” all the time. It is already pretty shielded by the aluminum case and apparently that doesn’t help…….
