Let’s say I have a square with three circles in it. The cuts are ordered so the circles are cut first. Is there a way to edit one or more of the circles (change its size, or eliminate it) without affecting the rest of the drawing? Similarly, if I have the same drawing and I scale it up to 1.23, for example, the size of the circles increases by 25%. Can this be edited to change the circle size?
I know that it is possile to edit by getting the drawing to turn red and then eliminating things. But unless I’m missing something this only works by deleting the last thing entered. Is there a way choose any part of the drawing and edit just that part.
I take it that the short answer is that what I’m asking about cannot be done. The quick tip from Andrew that I was sent was interesting but not helpful. His quick tips are so quick it is difficult, at least for me, to follow what’s going on. I’m left with the understanding that editing must be done with the most recent part of the drawing first. If that’s not the case please clarify. Thanks.
With your given example, in edit, you can select any one of your circles you want. Then make a change such as the diameter in the dialog box. Save the program and then reload it to run.
I guess I’m a little dense, but I’m missing something. When I try to follow your instructions I don’t get anywhere. If it’s not asking too much could you walk me through it a step at a time. Thanks.
Ok, load your simple trace program you’ve made. Say a triangle with three holes in it to make things simple. Droid has been homed and zeroed.
Tap the trace icon. You can now tap on any of the four elements of the part, triangle or any of the holes. Might help to enlarge the part by dragging down left side of screen to make things better to see. You will see the selected element get bolder and the edit icon appears (pencil/pad). Tap edit and a dialog box pops up. So for a hole, you could change the diameter or location for example. If you wanted to remove the hole you could select it and then tap the CW arrow. You’ve made your change, then tap save (looks like a floppy). Tap exit, then load your new edited file and now you’re ready to run the file.
For editing the triangle it’s a little different. Load your file, tap trace, tap the triangle to highlight it. Tap CW arrow and the last side made disappears. Tap CW arrow again to make the second side disappear. Move your stylus to where you want the new corner to be and click the stylus or push the black knob. Tap green check and you’ll get a screen showing two sides of the triangle with the new corner you picked. Tap the white “open”. It will change to closed and the triangle is completed back to the first corner. Hit green check twice, save, reload new altered file, and ready to run.
