How low can I go

Might be a sillly question but how much lower can I build the actual table compared to level of the arcdroid, reason is that I’d like to cut 25mm high square tube and wondering if I could build the table 25mm lower than the base of the arcdroid without compromising cut. If I could build the table 25mm lower it would be a bonus as then I’d be able to cut 50mm tube and 2-3mm sheets without adjusting height of arcdroid itself

Another possibility would be to build two spacers, out of the same material you envision cutting, that could quickly be swapped under the machine.

The section that the torch holder mounts to has Allen key bolts with adjustment. I’ve had success with removing the torch holder and adjusting the bolts and plate to a higher position. It’s like a wedge that slides up when loosened. Just be mindful that the arm can clear your material when moving around… you don’t want it to bash into your work piece. I have a video on my channel where I’ve cut 65x 35mm box steel to make a hole for a switch. It’s on my water table pump build. Hope this helps buddy!

Thankyou buddy I’ll try that way it will make things a lot easier for me instead of making jigs undrneath which will be awkward when I add a water tray. I’ve been watching your videos nice work👍, I’ve been messing around with the arcdroid yesterday and its magic I wish I’d have bought one ages ago.

I’d built a table with an adjustable grate. I know it’s opposite of what you were suggesting but it’s worked for me. Its adjustments are 0, 1”,2” and 3” lower. It’s pretty simplistic. Hope that helps.

Yes I think I’ll give it a go thankyou, it will make it a lot easier. I don’t suppose you got a pic please on how you built yours as I was thinking of building one so the arcdroid goes up and down but bit awkward with the x2 so better idea to make the actual table go up and down
