I also had the Probing error and to solve it I needed the raise the height of the torch above the material before clicking run. It seemed if the Z axis didn’t have far to travel down while probing then it would give me the error message.
Probing Error has been found and beaten in to submission
New versions of Both Simple Trace and Control Firmware available on our website. Should solve everything.

We received our Arcdroid on june 5th. IS this update already intalled on our machine? Or do we still have to do it?

Latest firmware released 6/15 so you’ll need an update. You can check what is installed on your Droid by tapping the Arcdroid logo on the screen five times and selecting the Version Info box.
