Hello Shoppers,
I have an earlier Arcdroid and to be honest have not spent enough time on it to be proficient.
A friend of mine has given me four pictures of fish that he would like to be able to cut out on plasma. What is the best way to process the images from a picture to a cut file?
The latest version vcarve pro has an image to vector tool, it works great. Lightburn is also pretty good at doing this. There are online sites that do this like http://vectormagic.com .
google image to vector converter and find one you like. Hope that helps.
I have seen a lot of videos of guys using inkscape, which is free, to process imagery into plasma cutting files. You can probably combine that with the fusion 360 post processor to make it arcdroid friendly, since the limit will be in the number of drawing points overall. There is a fellow on ytube doing a lot of great videos of signs and other projects that may be applicable here and he is making a lot of newer content that is applicable to the way most guys would use their arc-droids, where-as most of the videos you see are from shills who make one video and then are on to the next product someone sends them - https://www.youtube.com/@6.8liter74
Hello,
Thankyou very much for your advice on vector program to use. Still working my way through it these things are awesum.

Hi there. I have a YouTube channel also with heaps of arcdroid videos and tutorials on this exact topic.
I use fusion 360 and it truly is a simple process. I’ll be making a new video soon on how to take a picture of a part that needs to be re created… from being damaged etc.
Let me know if there is anything I can help you out with. Today I’ve been putting the final touches on my plasma table water bed drain system where I can drain all the water, then flip a switch and pump it all back in when I want to do more cutting on the next job.
Thankyou very much for your help much appreciated.
Kind regards
Darren
@Paul19684466 , I was able to create the following (1st time doing so) with the instructions from Mad Dog metalworks on Youtube, using Inkscape and Sheetcam. He has several instructional videos.
