Hi Andrew
I have not come across the issue.
I I’m not sure that the software is causing it either as if there is a torch delay setting causing it in the software then the arm will delay also.
The only other thing to check is do a manual cut and then stop and restart see if that recreates the same problem and then you can verify its the viper.
Also does your air source have a dryer.
And most importantly the consumables are installed correctly and not loose.
Sorry some basic stuff there but need to say it.
Thank you for your reply Gorden.
I have 2 air driers and air pressure seems fine. I think you are right about the consumables being loose. I pulled it all down and it seems to be working fine now.
Thanks again Andrew
I have just ordered the arcdroid for my company and we have both an ESAB powercut 1250 and a Hypertherm Powermax 800. Can i use either of these plasma cutters? if so which one would be the best fit?
Just called Thermal Dynamics , an older CUTMASTER 39 the guy said its a blow back and not high frequency so it should work righht? i’ll probably be buying the arcdroid today now that i can use my buddys plasma until i get mine
G’day,
I have an Everlast PowerPro 205D - it’s a 3 in 1 (Stick, AC/DC TIG, 50a Plasma). No CNC port but wired it into the torch and works great. I used 18ga shielded CNC wire per recommendation and soldered into the Everlast connector on the torch cable (didn’t want to play around inside the Everlast machine). The wire was actually difficult to find locally but eventually got it from the Maker Store in Melbourne (Australia).
I’ve been running my Primeweld Cut60 on my ArcDroid since Sep 2022 and everything was working fine until two months ago. Suddenly the Arcdroid would stop in the middle of the cut with the torch still on. Controller still functioned, so I would hit stop and home, but would never be able to finished the cut.
Just solved the problem. I added a longer ethernet cable (6ft) and moved the ArcDroid controlled just outside our shop door (behind a metal door) and it works just fine. Something on the Cut60 must have degraded and is now generating a more EM radiation. Separation seems to be the solution. Thinking about enclosing the control until in a shielded box so I don’t have to walk out of the room to run a cut.
Hello rtbeaten,
Could you tell me how you hooked up your PW60 to the Arcdroid ? If you used the 12 pin that came with it what # pins did you use
or if you did something else. Thank you in advance.
Are you able to provide me with any instructions on how to tap into the trigger on the Cigweld cutskill 45? Do I need a special plug/connection from the Arcdroid to the handle trigger?
Any help would be great.
