I’m using a piece of 3.18 mm steel to calibrate my z axis, I’m 2.43mm low, what ever I add to calibrate it, it doesn’t change, wha am I doing wrong??
Do a circle via Simple Trace, say 2” dia.
Set your cut height to .100”
Disable the torch and run the cut routine. After the torch touches and backs off and begins cutting the circle let it go for a bit and then hit stop. The torch tip is at cut height. See if .100” block fits under it. If it doesn’t add to your programmed cut height. Run again and stop part way thru the circle and check with your gauge block. It may take a few trials to find the setting that gives you your .100” desired cut height.
So if it works out that an entered .152” results in a .100” cut height make a note that you need to add .052” to whatever you set your cut height to.
This same number should be added to your pierce height entry also.
