Arcdroid to hypherterm powermax 105sync

Good afternoon, I just bought an ArcDroid and cpc conector, I have a Hypherterm Powermax 105Sync, but for some reason I cannot make them work, some advice??

Are you using a machine torch or a hand torch?

Hand torch with machining consumables (I do not know if it is the right thing to do, I also have manual consumables)

The cpc port is only plug and play with the machine torch

Do I understand, then is there no way to make it work with the manual torch?

You can make it work with your hand torch. You have to work around the safety switch in the torch. I don’t know the specifics on the cpc port. You can tap the two wires you need inside the plasma case and not use the port at all.
Hopefully someone will chime in with details….

Have you gotten anywhere with this hookup??

I sincerely gave up, ended up ordering a mechanized torch in Weldfabulous.

That should get you going using the cpc connector.

Make sure the plasma is on t2 standard. Also make sure to unplug the stylist. Then on the screen make sure to push the torch button then run. Make sure you got a good ground and plenty or air.

Oh, there is! You need to be somewhat savvy with hotwiring. I have a powermax 45 with a hand and machine torch. Prior to owning the machine torch, I ran into the same wall trying to get the hand torch to work. I replaced the ribbon connector on the PCB with a screw terminal connector that I can also add bridges to. Do at your own risk, of course!
This worked perfectly to allow attaching either type of torch without having to modify the torch or lead itself.

Anyone who is curious about the function of the bridges used on this Hypertherm Powermax 45 board J10 connector: connecting 1 and 2 bypasses the consumables switch, while connecting 2 and 4 provides the bridge used in mechanized torches to enable cnc control of the Hypertherm. This configuration was used until I purchases a machine torch, where both jumpers were removed. The consumables switch in my hand torch needed to be replaced as it was causing frequent and random interruptions while cutting. I replaced the switch and also the bandaid thereafter. Bypassing any safety switch is NOT recommended, but fun.
