Hypertherm POWERMAX 85 Sync connect to Arcdroid

Hello all

I have a Hypertherm Powermax 85 Sync.
How do I have to connect the Arcdroid?
I have two connectors on the back of the plasma cutter.
Which pins do I need to use on the plasma cutter and which on the Arcdroid?
Can it be that one must still change a setting in the menu of the Hypertherm ?

@Finney look at the socket assignments in your operator manual. Looks like for your machine, socket 3 and 4 need to be connected to the Droid to initiate the torch. [Screenshot_20221210-170140]

My problem is that I have a hand torch and this detects the plasma cutter and thus this function does not switch with pin 3 and pin 4 …

Can mann this somehow bypass trick?

I have the latest Hypertherm this has a larger pinout than the predecessors.

Do I have to buy a machine burner to solve this problem?

I have now tried to rebuild the hand burner and pulled out the cables at the back of the handle. Is not the definitive solution I think.

Hey Adrian

In order to trick your Hyperthem into thinking it has a machine torch you need to ad a small jumper to the front of the machine where you torch plugs in. This will allow it to operate using the port on the back.

I have the same plug on my 65sync.Did you find out what pins to jump to get it to work?
