Hello, I have the arcfony 53n cut pro, It has 2 pin and 5 pin cnc ports on the cutter, the instructions are vague on connections. Does anyone here have any knowledge of connecting this cutter without damaging my arcdroid? Also what are AUX1 and 2 for on my arcdroid? The manual doesnt seem to really go into depth about those terminals, any help is greatly appreciated!
Hello Skizzo;
First, welcome to the forum, there are alot of knowledgeable people here on the forum.
Looks like on the 5 pin plug, all you will need is pin 4&5, that is the way my IYEAH works.
You can test it by touching the 2 wires connected to 4&5 and see if an arc starts and continues as long as the wires are together.
Next the 2 pin plug is your arc voltage. Draw a straight line with Simple trace, attach digital voltmeter, and check voltage while making a cut.
Make sure to check polarity, this is important when connecting to Arcdroid.
Make sure voltage does not exceed 5 vdc. If it does, and it more than likely will, you will need a voltage divider.
Aux 2 is where the THC is connected. It is polarity sensitive, do not connect reverse polarity.
If you decide to use THC, you have to get unlock code from Arcdroid support.
Andrew has always been very helpful.
The Auto level feature works great for smaller and heavier Guage material!
Just start cutting and getting use to it, the Arcdroid is a very useful machine that I wish was around 20 years ago.
Start making sparks and having fun.
There are many videos out there, Jason @ Amp Mechanic has some good ones.
May the Lord bless you!
