Finally cutting

I received my ArcDroid as a Christmas gift then was away from my shop until last week. But I spent the time trolling the forums and looking at water-table designs and coming up with a plan for mine. It ended up being a 20”x30”14ga water table sitting on a stand with a slat frame resting on the legs 1/4” above the tank to accommodate my “rough” craftsmanship. The cable guide is 5/8”x1/16” tube with a 1/2” rod plug-welded as the pivot.

The BestArc BTC650xp plasma cutter works great. I’m hoping sometime in the future to get the THC working since straight steel is a rare commodity around here.

My first CNC plasma cut was the “test” model today. My first ever plasma cut was the manual corner notches and bend reliefs for the water tank last week. Wish me luck on my learning journey!

Looks good, I’d put in a cross beam between the legs that much weight and a small crack would make it a expensive day when I think its over kill I’ll double it.

Thank you.

There is one across the back legs right across the back of the plasma. 1” square tube.
But I could definitely add one across the front legs, after I buy more steel.

In a pinch I use bed rail its spring steel makes it hard to weld but its free most of the time, after you can use for welding clamps or grinders.
