I’ve mounted my gweike 1200w 3 in 1 on my RayDroid. I offset the gun by one degree as shown in the images my reflected target light just misses the emission orifice and I have wired the ignition to the controller in the laser unit. The sequence to fire the laser requires an initial 3 sec push of the trigger so the simplest thing is just to include and artifact to cut adjacent to the required shape. Or an m3/ m5 addition to the gcode. I used graph paper to plot a 2x version of my part and did the trace routine scaled to .5 to make a very serviceable part….90 of them. I also reduced the laser output to 7% to cut a paper version as well. It took a minute to get the kerf setting proper, .25 mm seems to be the finest it will go. I also utilized AMP’s settings verbatim and they were perfect.
The gweike gun/head doesn’t over tax the scara arm as far as I can tell. But I haven’t used a plasma on this unit yet so nothing to compare with yet. Seeing as the laser emits the target light this setup has its own laser stylus!
