My arcdroid base is level but the arm is not level with base. Can you adjust that
That is why you do not set the level of the Droid by its base. There is a large sticker on the arm joint that states “Level Here”
Yes i saw that, i get that so i have to sim the base to make the arm level so i can calibrate
no. shimming is the way to do it.
Hey so I’m not alone on that. Well I got the calibration done and cutting good now. But if I change my torch, I have to shim again. I just wanted to know that’s the way it is.
In video’s they don’t show that part
The best mounting for the base is to use the four holes provided with four studs, nuts top and bottom, Once dialed in it stays put. Ultimately what matters is being true to the work surface (cutting table). I actually prefer a dial indicator for that.
Changing the torch out doesn’t change anything. Calibration is only for the X and Y. It doesn’t calibrate the Z in any way. Being absolutely level isn’t that critical either as the Droid can compensate that when you touch it off three times on your work piece.
Thanks for the information, I thought that was the case. I’m enjoying the arcdroid, it’s working good. Lots to learn
