Projects bigger then cutting area

I only have one question before I decide if I want to purchase one or not. If you have a complex shape that is bigger than the cutting area, can you cut part of it, move the machine over and then have it continue on and cut the rest?

If it is possible can the CAD file be the entire object, or do you have to split it into separate files that are no bigger than the cutting area?

You have to set up your own alignment jig and then cut your drawing into slices or need to be able to pause and restart with perfect precision. It might be something like making your drawing fractionally longer so you have a start and stop point that accounts for not having to do a pierce for example if you were trying to make the front face of a bumper, you could probably make the joint in a straight area, but if you were making a top or bottom piece, it might just be better to cut them as sections and weld them together. Just my 2 cents. It can be done though, several people have posted about it already.
